So doing two lit reviews at once might have been a mistake only because I think my computer is going to explode at any moment. How is it possible browsers are this hard on the machine? I know nothing about how browsers work tbh, but why do my many tabs cause problems?!

Russia is smart in their targeting. Taking away the escape of reading and the history in these books is heartbreaking and hard to replace in the middle of a war. It hits morale hard.

The main thing I have accomplished with my day is providing amusement to a series of IT people who are collectively hunting an explanation and apparently now all discussing the silliness. So I'm amusing at least, but I did actually have things to do today.

Every time I get an IT help desk person to say WTF out loud, I feel like I have won somehow. In today's amusement, my outlook keeps resetting the compose email page to 50% for no reason and they really did think I was dumb until it did it while they were going "oh it was just the zoom". WTF indeed.

Occasionally I wonder if there's a connection between the anti-education movements and the view that your body just "knows" how to resist diseases. I think pushing the "vax is weight training for your immune system" is a very good line since the "protection" ones have unraveled.

I appreciate that hanging out with 12yo has involved lessons in French grammar, fixing a computer, fixing pants chains (think wallet chains), sewing repairs, and intro to sewing. This kid a sponge with like 15 tiny problems at a time.
