Hey quick question how does Medusa feed all those snakes? Does she dip her head in a tank of mice every few days? Or do the snakes share her digestive system and she just eats the mice herself?

Hey@nytimes.com — there was a development in a story you were covering. Can you explain why it’s no longer newsworthy?
Screenshot showing search results on NYT site for “‘capital one’ trump.” Stories about Trump’s suits against banks claiming political motives for closing his accounts appear, but no story about Capital One’s response saying that the accounts were closed because of money-laundering concerns appears.

After a long intro explaining how bad SCOTUS is, this article gives a lot of reasonable and concrete suggestions for disempowering it and/or making it more democratically accountable.

I was not surprised that the family we accompanied to immigration court today had to wait more than two hours for their hearing. I was surprised that the pens they were given to use while filling out forms were topped with large, colorful plastic flowers.

For @ballsandstrikes.org, I covered SCOTUS' latest attack on our tattered campaign finance system in last week's NRSC v. FEC. It's all thanks to the First Amendment & some longstanding precedents that we need to overturn. We'll only get there with court reform. ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/end-c...

the revealed view of this SCOTUS is that the framers got things mixed up when they wrote the constitution and that actually, the president is the central figure of the national government and congress exists as a junior partner that really ought not get in his way

I am categorically and implacably opposed to slavery because it is morally repugnant. People who are held in captivity are forced to work for the profit of their captors. Even if they *are* paid the nominal sums required by the former policy, they are enslaved by companies paid by OUR GOVERNMENT.
