If the Phillies can somehow both end the season so they stop torturing me with hope *and* eliminate the Braves it would be ideal.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled today that the special prosecutor for SEPTA crimes is constitutional. It was another blow to DA Larry Krasner, who said the role unlawfully stripped his office's authority. w @abgutman.bsky.social www.inquirer.com/crime/septa-...

Pa. Supreme Court says SEPTA special prosecutor is constitutional, another blow to Krasner
A unanimous Supreme Court rejected District Attorney Larry Krasner's argument that the SEPTA special prosecutor law is unconstitutional because it strips away the authority of an elected DA.

Teams lose. I get it. And as Eagles fans we’ve been blessed with so many wins in recent years. But I just want to watch my team play some good football without wanting to jump into a volcano, even if they end up losing. It’s been so long.

Unpopular opinion: I have a really hard time believing the “AI is going to kill us all within the decade” prediction from tech workers. None of them are acting like someone who believes their own prophecy. Whether they believe it or not, something psychologically is broken here.

Abraham Gutman @abgutman.bsky.social · 09/09/2026
Let’s reframe this really quick, because it matters. AI won’t kill anyone. The choice of humans and the profound inability for collective action might. AI could be the extremely lethal bullet, discharged unintentionally, but it was people who were playing with a loaded gun.

Last week we revealed that dozens of hospitals throughout the country expose the live call schedule and cells of their physicians and medical providers. At a time of increased violence threats and harassment, experts said, that’s a significant security risk. And yet, most schedules are still live.
