At times like this, the mask really comes off the British media. There is no pretence - at all - about their impartiality or objectivity towards the Green Party. It is a blatant naked partisan cross-media assault against the Greens.

Ignore the headlines. Those kids who are said to be brain-dead, tik-tok-ed out of consciousness, apathetic, etc etc, are the exact opposite. They're smart, imaginative, they're asking the questions their elders do everything to avoid, with the right words, without fear. They are the voice of hope.

The right-wing idea is that somehow people cannot thrive amidst difference/diversity and cities demonstrate that they do and that lots of us find it enriching and rewarding to live among people who are not clones marching in lockstep. They treat diversity as a threat....

For 14yrs, the Tories cratered our economy, added thousands to our cost of living, melted down public services and brexited us into decades of eye-watering expense and lost opportunity. That’s still their plan. With tax breaks for the super rich paid for by welfare cuts. So what TF is this headline?

Just constantly pushing at the edges of more and more far right politics. It isn't weird to me. It is what they have been doing for decades. The only thing that has changed is how far right they have managed to get and therefore what that does to the next push.

If you understand that “Fuck you, shut up, shut your dirty hippy mouth you piece of shit” is the actual primary motivation, and that secondary things like “Britain does what America tells us to, no questions asked” are simply not up for debate at all, ever, then that explains it succinctly.

I get responses with weird theories for why this happens but, for real: relentless massacre and destruction is not a factor because it is only incidental to the core point Rafa and others have always been making, and that key, non-negotiable point is: Fuck you, we are in charge, shut up, fuck off.

The Public Processions Act was enacted months before the GFA, to address this issue as a preliminary. The GFA wasn't meant to tackle this. Also NI Bill of Rights was never enacted as the GFA intended:

I am not very worried about about the Tory Tapestry’s misuse of “doth”. What worries me much more is this sequence of panels which seems to show a small boat full of brown-skinned people followed by a plague of rats running riot and then a lot of dead white people labelled tax payers.
Detail from Conservative Party mock Bayeux Tapestry showing 1. A boat full of brown skinned people. 2. Enormous rats chasing cats. 3. White-skinned “tax payers” dead in the streets.

Their loves include UnHerd, Michael Gove, public-private partnerships, no-fly zones, Steven Pinker, big tech, and Andrew Sullivan. Their hates include environmentalists, rehabilitative justice, and structural explanations of racism"Post of mine from 22nd February 2025 in response to a Politico article saying "Keir Starmer has told his cabinet Labour must stop looking down on working class voters and their immigration concerns" saying that "You can largely figure out someone's politics by what they focus on and who gets the benefit of the doubt. "Labour have to move right on immigration" isn't an election strategy, it's an instruction. There's a rizla paper separating people on the Labour right and Fraser Nelson's circle of racists"Post of mine from 3rd March 2025 in response to a George Monbiot post on a John Harries article titled "In Pontypool, I saw the looming threat of Nigel Farage - and how Labour is playing into his hands" saying that "The Labour right are right wing. Owen Jones is more of an enemy to them than Nigel Farage. Hell, Ed Miliband is more of an enemy to some of them than Nigel Farage. They're Gove + Osborne with ID cards thrown in"

Adam Wagner KC, the barrister who led a case which concluded that Jeremy Corbyn's Labour broke equalities laws over antisemitism, said that such a case would have a good chance of success.
"I think there is a strong risk that the motion as passed contravenes the Equality Act 2010, which applies to political parties, as it will discriminate against and harass people who hold Zionist beliefs and Jewish people more generally.," he said.
"Zionism, defined in the broad sense of supporting the establishment, development, and protection of a Jewish nation state in its ancestral homeland, the land of Israel, is likely to be a protected belief under the Equality Act 2010."
He said there was a strong risk that the policy, especially if it resulted in disciplinary action, "will create an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment for both Zionists and Jewish people therefore harassing them".
