The FBI should just arrest a DOGE person for compromising national security. They can do that. No White House permission needed. The FBI doesn't require such high-level permission to make arrests for obvious crimes. It would be like cops getting permission from the mayor to arrest bank robbers.

This is an important point that is emphasized over and over in government training on insider threats and illegal access - it doesn’t matter how urgent the request is or even if you agree with it - as a govt employee you are legally required to follow the law and verify access is authorized
