don't get me wrong, Makoto's is effortful and done on purpose (esp like. look at the contacts scene!), the word "effortless" here is just me trying to get at the fact that she is able to exude that anyway. despite being very calculating in how she presents herself to the world!

Makoto's character design is great because it's very good at its plot-relevant role of designing someone who exudes a kind of effortlessly mature woman nature as opposed to Pop cosplaying maturity. which is a really good excuse for them to invent the world's hottest woman

I love that Makoto's hair is so meticulously rendered as the silkiest and shiniest that has ever existed. the plot relevance of making sure she's the hottest woman alive. the plot relevance of making Pop so mad that this woman seems blessed by the universe with an easy to handle hair type

I’ve been trying to explain to my child that a TV show was made 60 years ago, but takes place 200-odd years in the future. And that it’s fiction. It is surprisingly easy mess up this explanation and convince your child Star Trek was made in the 1800s.

Heat exhaustion is dangerous. Heat stroke can be deadly. One cannot simply hydrate their way out of heat illness. Frequent rest breaks with ones whole body in the shade are a must. Heat can kill-especially if doing physically demanding work in high temperatures. 5/

Kazuho recognizing Koichi by his quirk makes sense mostly because he's much older than when they met and looks different, and she's very far away from him, but it's also perfectly plausible that she just cannot see his features for shit from up there

how bad do you guys think Pop Step's eyesight is? I do tend to hc it's actually quite bad. (I THINK we have evidence of approx how bad at some point but that would be a manga moment to avoid mentioning if so...) And I don't think she has contacts or anything, she just doesn't wear the glasses
