Are you a "migrant criminal" if you were born in the UK and, as well as being British from birth, you inherited a nationality from a parent as well, perhaps without even knowing it? Reminder: you do not need to possess a passport of a country to be a national of that country.

It's a combination of a much higher visa refusal rate and the new compliance rules leading universities to panic and suspend recruitment from Pakistan. So applications are collapsing and only half of applications by Pakistanis result in a grant, the rest are rejected or withdrawn.

I spend my week crossing london on a bike and increasingly that means cycling alongside Wayve/Waymo robotaxis. it’s uncomfortable. they give you so much space, don’t do a close pass while accelerating as lights go red. So unnerving if you cycle on assumption everyone’s mental and wants to kill you.

The RNLI has said the abuse of volunteers in Portsmouth has forced it to close the lifeboat station there and stop operating since September 10. Nearby stations have been providing cover to the area instead. One of the UK's largest coastal cities without a lifeboat because of the far-right.
