Nuclear Strike (PS1) (1997) 1/4

As part of the STRIKE covert operations force, you pilot several helicopters across the world to put a stop on Colonel Beauford LeMonde's efforts to steal a nuclear weapon, currently fighting over a riverside village somewhere in Southeast Asia, blowing up a tank on a village path near some shacks and houses.

The plan doesn't go very much to plan as the former spy turned warlord LeMonde manages to steal the warhead and keeps evading STRIKE's attacks, so your team employs the services of a mercenary, delivering him a package to a villa complex with high white and pink walls.

The entire terrain in this top-down helicopter game looks like one massive unique texture with lots of details, although the quality of the texture is often quite low and compressed, with very noticeable JPEG-like artifacts, but it's still kinda impressive that it all fits in PS1's memory.

Attacking an airfield on a tropical island full of missile launchers and a few enemy helicopters as they scramble to retaliate, but they're too slow and your missiles hit their target as another one bites the dust-ah.

Future Cop: L.A.P.D. (PS1) (1998) 1/4

Fighting the "Crime War" in future Los Angeles in the year 2098, piloting a blue bipedal mech called the X1-Alpha, currently hanging around in a dingy parking lot and trying to score some cyber-cocaine but the dealer in his white cyber-van is asking for too much money so you decide to blow him up with the full arsenal of the robo-law.

Entering a small courtyard inside what looks like a concrete pyramidal fortress with gray and red walls filled to the brim with turrets and soldiers in green uniforms carrying bazookas and a long, train-like vehicle shooting rockets at you from its massive rotating turret while you're exchanging green lasers with all your kind hosts.

The radar in the upper left corner spells out "Crowd Control Camera" as it gently zooms in on the action where a crazed gang of LEGO people in yellow jackets run around smacking each other in a shower of blood while a couple of recently fused mutant twins blast a burning hot ray of plasma from their flamethrower.

A high tech enemy base with a central paved road and many side chambers with glowing blue lights along the bottom of the walls (must be a gamer's man-cave) with a couple of orange flying drones fly over and take a couple of easy shots at you while you're completely missing them with your mech that's very unequipped to actually look up much at all, but if I could pick this pig up one night and raise it into the sky and tilt it ever so gentle, I can make sure this pig's eyes line up with the stars.
