L’analyse👇 à partir d'un grd ensemble de simulations montre qu’un été type 2026, certes extrême, est bien présent dans la gamme des étés possibles attendus pour cette décennie 2020-2029. Ce diagramme @leparisien.fr situe l'été 2026 à #Paris en termes de nuits >= 20 °C et jours >= 30 °C et illustre parfaitement le côté lunaire de la chaleur de cet été 2026 à Paris, dépassant largement 2003, qui à l'époque était très comparable à 1976 (et peu éloigné de 1995) sur ces paramètres.

Maybe we should focus our attention and effort on #climate solutions that work (like solar power production), rather than the ones that benefit the fossil fuel companies (like carbon capture projects)? (Thanks to projects.propublica.org/why-carbon-c... for the article and graphic.)

Many things are bad. Please remember to back up your computer and your cell phone. You will want those documents, those video and music files, all those photos of your pets, kids and other special moments. I know hard drives are expensive. It will hurt more not to have backups. Make three copies.

As someone who just published in one of these journals, it might seem hypocrit to repost. But this thread is to the point: OA fees in that journal are 10000$, we didn’t want to pay with taxpayers money. But even the other route had tremendous costs of 760€ per colored figure(!). A few comments on our recent paper: 1- The high end is based on the SSP585 scenario which was the only one available until 2300 in CMIP6, but according to the reduced-complexity models used in IPCC-AR6, the SSP370 scenario should also cross the limit beyond which most ice shelves become non-viable.
