My first arc in my ongoing campaign was a mystery. It worked really well as a way to set the tone, establish some of the central conflicts and themes of the game, and bring the party together. It was less successful as a mystery. 6 years and 16 levels later they are finally figuring out howdunnit

I've been thinking a bit, recently, about people I've known in my own life who have passed away, but who left a bounty of love and art and generosity behind. There's a kind of joy to mourning a life so well-lived. & I think Dolly Parton was that for millions of people which is kind of incredible
