Catching up with tasting notes on brands I missed recently. #Benromanchwhisky These are great drams, my current favourite being the 15, followed by the Cote Rotie. Could be different tomorrow.

#JuraWhisky I think we need to be mindful of what the idea behind a lot of Jura is right now, and that is simple, approachable whisky. The higher abv drams held up better than the lower abvs. Would I buy? Probably not. It's not for me. But also, there are many excellent IB Juras out there.

On 1st October the English Whisky GI comes into effect. I'm looking to take all views on this for an article. It isn’t just an industry discussion, its a consumer one; so I'm running a survey to get an idea of what we all think. Would love it if you take part & share. forms.gle/puUh9w1dDRCH...

Whisky GI Survey: What Buyers Actually Think
I'm researching how much Geographical Indication (GI) status actually means to whisky buyers, including people who buy it as gifts but don't drink it themselves, following England's whisky GI approval...

Its a kind of different feel from the patrons in Canada. Some of the names haven't gone down particularly well and the process / people involved have ruffled some consumer feathers. I enjoy that everyone has a different take.

#DrinkHIP I did my notes earlier in the day in the order of Tomintoul, Invergordon, Bowmore, rum. I suspect tonights order had an impact on tasting notes. However, I love this concept, but the drams are just lacking either abv or mouthfeel or both. Maybe more abv and less outturn next batch?

I did wonder why a peated was put between 2 unpeated drams? I did my notes earlier today and had the peated last, and suspect it will have an effect on my notes being different to others. Interesting.
