WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Also, it feels weird doing this on a Thursday! #BenromachWhiskystatic.klipy.com 020
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Well thanks as always to @thewhiskywire.bsky.social for organising another great tasting. Thanks to #BenromachWhisky for the drams. A real constant thread of flavour through that Benromach spirit with age and cask showing influence on each dram. #BenromachWhiskystatic.klipy.com 081
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 24/09/2026With no irony of repeating myself, orange, rasberry, toffee apples, gingerbread, cracked black pepper, oaky subtle smoke! #BenromachWhisky 071
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 24/09/2026A really inviting nose of gingerbread sprinkled with brown sugar. Dried Apricots, sweet sherry, more orange, fresh rasberries again!! #BenromachWhisky 061
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 24/09/2026OK minor child distraction but back on focus now. The 15yo is caramelised apples with all the Benromach notes of orange peel, cracked black pepper, coca, light smoke. #BenromachWhiskystatic.klipy.com 031
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 24/09/2026The surprise for me on this tonight is just how much fresh rasberries I am getting on it. That typical Benromach cracked black pepper is really prominent also. #BenromachWhisky 051
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I'll admit to already owning a bottle of this and not initially being blown away by it. However, it has grown on me. The nose has those typical sherry cask stewed fruits, raisins, branbrack, orange peel, ginger and dark chocolate. #BenromachWhisky 050
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 24/09/2026For a 46%er the finish is nice and well rounded and runs for days #BenromachWhiskystatic.klipy.com 041
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Hmm this is really rather pleasant. The core of the Benromach spirit still cuts through that syrupy wine cask with orange zest, crystalised ginger and black pepper. a smouldering wood smoke and of course the dark forest fruits are all still here. #BenromachWhisky 051
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 24/09/2026The wine cask on this is achingly obvious. Big fruit coulis notes. I can almost smell the wine directly and the skin of the grapes. Chocolate pots. A Blackberry hedgerow. #BenromachWhisky 061
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Dram 1 smells as if it could be quite young. Very fruity and spirity #BlindDrams 080
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 26/08/2026I have so much left I can't resist a blended whisky/rum from whats left in the glass! #DrinkHIPstatic.klipy.com 172
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Well thank you #DrinkHIP. you have achieved nirvana in that I have finished a tasting with more left than I have drunk thanks to your very generous samples. Thanks as always to @thewhiskywire.bsky.social for providing the #Dramfotainment. Loved the 20cl concept. Will look out for more.static.klipy.com 181
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 26/08/2026I'm into a world of the unknown here but the nose is bannanas (literally), nuts, dried fruit, cranberries, honeycomb #DrinkHIPstatic.klipy.com 041
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Again to get a 20cl bottle of a 28yo Invergordon for under £20 really is a great thing! #DrinkHIPstatic.klipy.com 171
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Now let me get this straight You put the lime in the coconut, you drank 'em both up #DrinkHIPstatic.klipy.com 051
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 26/08/2026The citrus carries through on the palate. Its kinda thin on the mouthfeel. The ashy smoke is pleasant. A bit of chocolate limes in there and a peppery prickle in the finish. #DrinkHIP 031
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 26/08/2026For me the nose has a light smoke. A bit grassy? Salted lemon, minerallic. Burnt ends. Like smelling your hands after taking off marigolds!! #DrinkHIPstatic.klipy.com 041
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 26/08/2026I hate saying it but that whisky is SMOOOOOTH! The orchard fruit comes through with caramel with a long soft oak finish #DrinkHIPstatic.klipy.com 051
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Typical Speyside on the nose from those refill sherry notes. Almond croissants on the nose, apple strudel with icing sugar, some caramel and a light vanilla. #DrinkHIP 051

WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 22/07/2026The lemony smoke on the palate is backed up by toffee and iodine. A real nutty minerality exists but for me the lingery peat is wonderful #RareFindWhiskystatic.klipy.com 051
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 22/07/2026The nose is lemony, smokey ash, salty maltiness, lobster pots, briney olives. Caol Ila tastic! #RareFindWhisky 061

WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 22/07/2026Strawberries in balsamic immediately. freshly baked scones with lashings of rasberry jam. Oats (or should that be malted barley??) Cinnamon lozengers #RareFindWhiskystatic.klipy.com 061
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 22/07/2026Big initial hit of fruit (both orchard and dark fruits) Palate then middles off to chocolate caramel brownies, Jamacian Ginger cake and walnuts. #RareFindWhiskystatic.klipy.com 061
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 22/07/2026Lemon bonbons, strawberry chewits, caramelised condensed milk, vanilla custard. This is a dessert menu of a nose! #RareFindWhiskystatic.klipy.com 071
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 22/07/2026The palate is a continuation of the nose with oodles of apple turnovers. A lovely creamy mouthfeel. Some Lemon Meringue Pie! #RareFindWhiskystatic.klipy.com 051

WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 18/07/2026Dram 5 - Score: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 - I'd be over the moon if given a bottle of this, and would probably drink it fairly quickly. This is a very good dram. Just falls short of a 5 #BlindDrams 050
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 18/07/2026Dram 5 - On the palate: Salty olives, cinnamon lozenges, pear drops, white winey? #BlindDrams 050

WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 18/07/2026Dram 4 - Score: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 - I'd be over the moon if given a bottle of this, and would probably drink it fairly quickly. Banging dram but the lack of finish makes it a 4. So nearly a 5 #BlindDrams 060
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 18/07/2026Dram 4 - The finish: Let down on the finish as it just disappears. But still a banging dram #BlindDrams 040
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 18/07/2026Dram 4 - On the palate: Lemony shellfish. A campfire recently put out. Freshly BBQ'd mackerel #BlindDrams 060

WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 18/07/2026Dram 3 - Score: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 - Damn drinkable and if within my price range, I'd happily buy (or have bought) one of these and enjoy it. Another solid dram. This could have been a 4 on another day #BlindDrams 160
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 18/07/2026Dram 3 - On the palate: Rubbery sherry cask? Another oily dram from this coastal selection. #BlindDrams 020
WhiskyWithoutMolly @whiskywithmolly.bsky.social · 18/07/2026Dram 3 - On the nose: Great nose. Really fruity! A bit of funk, stone fruits, menthol. #BlindDrams 070
