Overall, I consider 12DA: Run Fast, Be Kind to be one of the best boxsets that @bigfinish.bsky.social has ever produced. Works perfectly for the Twelfth Doctor to have a heavily serialised arc on audio, with a new favourite companion (ie Ash). This is peak #DoctorWho!

‘The Doctor doesn’t kill. Not intentionally. Even his worst enemies are offered mercy. Go up against the Doctor, and while your plan will be ruined, there’s a chance you’ll live. Someone doesn’t agree with that. someone’s travelling across all of time and space putting that right...

I’m watching a TV show — several episodes in — and three times in the last two episodes, the characters have halted the drama to deliver a PSA about the HPV vaccination, practically straight to camera. A disclaimer came up on screen and everything!

I always find Witcher Netflix discourse so fascinating. People will scream and wail that the books aren’t accurate to the source material — which, to be clear, they aren’t — but the things a lot of them are complaining about… are the parts that actually are accurate?!?!

28 Years Later looks great, sounds great, and the acting is extremely impressive. There is, however, a point where the script will take your hands and ask you to trust it. Your answer to this question will colour your judgment of the entire film.

here's the thing about using Gotham and then Odyssey clearly repeating Oppenheimer's campaign (the posters are more than strikingly similar). this is to: - *get away* from both films being "period" - clearly establish these as *Christopher Nolan*. He's an IP in his own right.

The purpose of art is, above all, to produce pleasure. But pleasure doesn’t mean positivity, for who hasn’t derived enjoyment from a sad song? To enjoy the full spectrum of human emotion: love, pride, hate, loss — that is its own form of hedonism.

applying for jobs again
screenshot from an online job application form. the question reads "Can you describe specific ways you have integrated AI tools into your development workflow? Please include any custom setups, automations, or use cases beyond single prompt usage" (a red asterisk indicates that this is a required question).

an answer has been typed in the textbox below the question:

"there is a monster in the forest and it speaks with a thousand voices. it will answer any question you pose it, it will offer insight to any idea. it will help you, it will thank you, it will never bid you leave. it will even tell you of the darkest arts, if you know precisely how to ask.

it feels no joy and no sorrow, it knows no right and no wrong. it knows not truth from lie, though it speaks them all the same.

it offers its services freely to any passerby, and many will tell you they find great value in its conversation. “you simply must visit the monster—i always just ask the monster.”

there are those who know these forests well; they will tell you that freely offered doesn’t mean it has no price

for when the next traveler passes by, the monster speaks with a thousand and one voices. and when you dream you see the monster; the monster wears your face."
