Not my original point by any means but this is what terrorism looks like. so many “normal” people will gang up with nasty people like this to shame and harass survivors to try to silence them. Shame has to switch sides.

This same man welcomed by reform filmed a 14 year old girl I know (she asked him why he was putting flags up) and put the conversation on his Facebook without her knowledge or consent. A child. Loads of aggressive and insulting comments from his followers on the video. Irresponsible and vile.

I know of an egregious case of a white, male supervisor plagiarising Black, female phd student. Student was ignored and dismissed and had to really fight for any recognition of what had happened. He simply moved on and as far as I know still has an academic post today.

Yes I think I’m suggesting that that kind of forbidding is not very effective against material shared in private. I used to put all my stuff online (very early adopter of open access!). Was around that time, before formal open access agreements. Nobody ever asked me to desist 😁

Springer nature are a disaster. Strongly suggest boycotting their journals. They also publish racist analyses in their journals and refuse to do anything about it. This is even worse if it’s supposed to be open access. Bet the authors don’t get a share of any ad revenue

When utilized in literature review, LLMs consistently 1. fail to mention female authors in female-led literatures, 2. insist that men are more influential or more heavily cited when this is contradicted by objective citation counts, and 3. attribute women’s work to hallucinated male scholars.
