And here’s Crescent during her mostly-in-focus moments! (Or what I think is Crescent! Context from other pics means I’m certain for three pics, and odds are decent for the other!) Eclipse is next, whenever I’m not so sleepy. 💤🐈‍⬛💤

Crescent, the tiny sister of the three black cat siblings, is flailing around on her back as her brother Gibbous moves in to pounce. A mouse toy started all this but got knocked away during the flails. (I see a mouse toy in the background, but no kitten does!)

Crescent, the world’s most perfect precious baby kitty, poses as she relaxes on a platform in the catio. Did I mention she looks and acts like my cat Little Stuff, who is a legendary naughty child (complementary)! Little Stuff is gray and Crescent is black. With some photo editing, I could slide a Little Stuff pic in and fool some folks despite the 14-year age difference!

A pouty-eyed black kitten sizes up a shoelace draped over her. Or him. This could be Gibbous??? He’s twice Crescent’s size, but we don’t have size context here! Photos from the same time show Crescent’s brothers elsewhere in the catio, but I can’t be sure!

This I *know* is Crescent, the tiny cutie black kitten, as it’s part of the same sequence as the “posing on the platform” pics. Just like my Little Stuff, she goes from precious to murder baby rapidly! Here she wasn’t even trying to eat my flesh, but happened to bound to where my hand was and chomp me by accident!

More sun and moonlight foster kitten pics! Theme of this set: The moon phase trio (black) wants the mouse toy, even if a celestial kitten (gray and white) has it! Alt text, as always, has descriptions and bonus tidbits.

Sol, the solid gray and white fur’d kitten, has a black mouse toy atop the double decker kitty cubby. Two black kittens are on the floor of the catio, searching for toys. Little Creascent, at the base of a scratching post, has turned her head up towards Sol. Uh oh!

Sol’s brother, Cal (the bros’ full names are Solar and Callisto, btw), is tucked into the single-level kitty cubby with a gray mouse toy. One of the black kitty trio, Eclipse (the brother with a white dot on his chest), has taken notice of Cal’s treasure. Uh oh!

Bulky panther-faced largest brother of the moon phase trip, Gibbous, jumps up from his position laying on a collapsed cloth basket to pounce on a mouse toy abandoned by Ayla, the medium gray and cream tabby cat who’s out of frame. You’ll get more Ayla context in the reply to this post!

I had a dream where I was supposed to take part in a show, but a SPIDER MONSTER outbreak changed the venue. I went to the supposed backup spot alone, began my act…and my team showed! My team: A pile of kittens! My act: Serving kittens colorful ice cream as they smeared themselves into rainbows!

Remember Tawny, the Weird Aunt who helped raise the dragon horde kittens? She was meant to go to the cat cafe, but when she stayed with a foster while paperwork was getting done she…adopted some new kittens who were there. So she’s now a PROFESSIONAL WEIRD AUNT foster helper with the adoption org!

Tawny the tabbico cat wasn’t a mother! She was just there when the dragon horde and their mom were trapped, and was kind enough to come along with them! Here she lays in the catio, thinking about her choices…

Today the foster kittens were gifted new catnip mice, and they were a BIG hit! It was one long game of everyone in the catio stealing the brown and blue mice from each other, while Belle in the mini-catio behind was having the time of her life crashing around with her own mice. (More in alt text.)

Porch kitty got her night treat early, but then came downstairs during her normal treat time as if I was denying her! I will not relent to this gaslighting!

So here's a new form of #ChrispyJinx I dropped my remote, and it apparently landed on the Prime button, so suddenly it switched from Hulu to playing the NFL game, just as the Browns' kick happened! And the autoplay of the game ended right before kickoff and the last 10 seconds, so WATCH OUT!

Hahaha. So, as I prepped that Pearl/Little Stuff = Ayla/Crescent post, the porch cat came downstairs and jumped up on the couch with me! …Buuuuuut she didn’t know Pirate was up here too! They ended up swatting and hissing at each other after the mutual surprise. 😿😿

The moment the porch cat jumped on the couch and went into the kitty couch fort, when she noticed Pirate was in the other half of the fort - but before a relaxing Pirate turned his head and noticed she was there and the mutual surprise kicked off a hissy fit!

Visited the sunlight/moonlight foster kittens today. The 3 black siblings, Gibbous, Eclipse and Crescent, have unlimited energy. The 2 gray and white bros, Solar and Callisto, are delightfully chill by comparison. Gray and cream tabby Ayla continues sweetly bumbling along. (More in alt text)

Three black kittens are on the shelf of the catio, by the corner cubby, following me around and attacking a paper towel from my pocket. The are ordered from small to large if you go left to right (and high to low), with little girl Crescent looking up towards me, naughty lad Eclipse (he has a white dot on his chest) messing with the paper towel, and strong build boy Gibbous down by the bridge.

The two gray and white chill brothers - Solar, who’s colors are SOLid, and Callisto, whose gray has Rorschach test-y stripes on it - were fighting atop a cloth basket, but it turned into hugging and grooming. If the moon phase trio is evil, the illuminating son brothers are good! (The last kitten, light tabby Ayla, is chaotic neutral.)

Medium gray and cream tabby shorthair foster kitten Ayla is on a shelf, next to the only other girl in the catio with her, the innocent-faced tiny terror black shorthair foster kitten (with a faint white chest patch) Crescent! They look very cute together! (For the record, Ayla received eye drops, which seem to catch the camera flash in odd ways.)

One of the black kittens - this time I don’t know because I can’t compare sizes when they’re alone and identifying features can’t be seen from behind, but I think it’s one of the boys - looks out on the afternoon sun through the open garage door, and the gray and white brothers, Cal and Sol, nap atop a cubby in a yin-yang formation. (Cal is the one facing the camera.)

As I typed that post, Little Stuff settled down at the corner of my bed - still purring hard - and after I hit “post” I looked over to see the new level of precious she’d achieved… meaning another post was required!

Respect my strength in only sharing one of the photos from Little Stuff’s nap time! This tiny terror dark gray shorthair kitty has cutely poked her head up in curiosity, defeating my heart! You can see spots on her fur where I was smooshing the murder baby cuz she was too cute, even when she was trying to bite my arm off because she thinks that’s fun!

Dipper and Little Stuff sat around the whole time I cooked dinner and cleaned after. Then they both tried to bite me when I took photos of them instead of just giving attention.

Big Dipper and Little Stuff, two dark gray cats - one large and fluffy and one small and shorthair, but you’ll have to guess which is which - are on alert by plant table and its watermelon tablecloth, cuz they’re mad about flash photography. Little Stuff is actively gearing up for an attempt to maul me here!

In sweeter moments, after I finished handwashing all the dishes and turned around to see these two kitties, they were cuddly and loudly purring on the kitchen table just from making eye contact. Little Stuff watches from the background while Big Dipper rolls over to be extra cute.

Little Stuff is distracted by a shoelace braid, cuz she was mad at me and trying for revenge before this moment. Colors are off because the dang yellow orange and brown shoelace braid helped confused the phone’s color sensors, and I had to do all the iPhone would allow to color correct.

Big Dipper innocently sits on the plant table, with leaves from a certain out of control indoor tree (I did a bad job of raising it, but it keeps on growing 30 years later) are draped around his shoulders, with aloe pots (the aloes are also from the 1990s) at his sides. The watermelon table cloth and his eyes glowing aqua in the camera flash add nice color balance.

Look at this wacky lady who was again casually wandering around downstairs until she got spotted. This time she paused on the stairs for funny close-ups! Then she led me upstairs so she could purr in my lap for a while. (You can get cuddles downstairs too, silly!)

The porch cat, a dilute tortie, caught with flash photography when I stuck my phone through the railing of the stairs going upstairs. She has a hilarious wide-eyed expression and one paw raised - just in case she needs to go on defense and kick my ass! Still holding onto that semi-feral energy that let her live a dozen years as a “stray,” although she was more like a sweet but highly cautious mooch that safely stayed on my porch between doing her circuit around the area, shaking down various suckers.

Not as sick as I was, but I still have a pounding headache and some fatigue. I’m almost certainly past being contagious - I got my mom sick before I even knew I was sick - but going into physical therapy while a little icky may be a faux pas. (Tho PT is likely what got ME sick initially, lol.)

Porch kitty came downstairs to sample a catnip toy, and in her *softened* state she let me pick her up and carry her around. She even sat in my lap on the couch, while I pet her, Pearl and Dipper together. Then I watched her sprint around the room before I got her playing with a ribbon.😻

Being sick has been as rough as one would think for a guy as disabled as I am. And I certainly wasn’t kidding about how I keep passing out! The one silver lining: Waking up on the downstairs couch to find the porch kitty had left her area to come wait for me.

A photo from yesterday showing the artist formerly known as the porch cat, a dilute tortie, who had walked downstairs and was resting on the foot strain pad of my standing desk. If one pulled the frame of this pic back some more, four other cats would appear.

Passed out while typing my post about visiting the moon fosters, and woke to see I converted it to sleep typing gibberish. Oops. So, uh, CATS! (Stories in alt text) I’ll share pics of the other 3 sweet kitties once I wake up from my upcoming coma! (Got lovely disaster girl Ayla content coming!)

The pose hides his panther build, but I have other photos showing his side next to Eclipse, so we know it’s him being a darling!

I wanna do another emphasis post. If you didn’t realize I put stories in the alt text of the newbies’ pics, this repost lets ya know! Let’s focus on disaster girl, Ayla! Pic 1’s EXACTLY what it appears to be: She got her claw caught, panicked & cried to my mom for help! Others? Sobbing in shame.

A medium gray and cream tabby cat with a clipped ear, named Ayla, has a claw caught on a dangling ball toy attached to the top of a scratching post. Her face is one of terror as she panics, turning back to scream for help to her guardian! (Her guardian did not notice, for I was laughing loud enough to drown out Ayla’s screams. But I rescued her immediately after I got the shot, so all was fine… until she got herself caught again a few minutes later.)

Ayla, the medium gray and cream tabby disaster kitten, pouts in the kitty cubby in the back corner of the catio. Tears from one eye stream down her face and drip eye goop on her nose. I’m not sure what she did - probably somehow poked herself in the eye - but I can confirm she did get treatment for it.

Sol, another gray and white kitten - who isn’t actually related to Ayla - naps behind her in the cubby.

A photo from a little before pic 2, when the tears had just begun for Ayla the disaster kitty, with her still looking up and at the camera, and before Sol joined her. She’s trying to hold it together, as she doesn’t seem to have a good grasp of cause and effect, leaving her confused over how all the incidents went down.

I want to add further emphasis that the amazing kitty-stoat-dachshund photo of Crescent was when she trying to intimidate the gray kittens of the catio - growling because chill, quiet sweetie Cal dared to get inside *her* basket! I also like how, from this angle, the white stripes on Cal say “NO❕”

Reposting the photo of Crescent the black kitten in a pose - probably due to angles of subtle poses and accidental perspective quirkiness - that makes her look like a kitten/dachshund/stoat hybrid creature, with a bonus look at her adorable boxy head and tiny panther face. It’s too cute!

Everyone, meet Crescent! With six new kittens, if you manage stand out so much you get a solo post before official intros, that says a lot about the terrible power you possess! She’s the tiny terror of the dark trio; a chaos goblin that reminds me so much of my Little Stuff. A perfect total brat!

A blurry black cat squishing herself as the soft walls of a basket she’s playing in collapse on her. The squishing gives her gremlin ears, which… appropriate.

Her name is Crescent for the phase of the moon when the moon looks tiny. (Her biggest brother, who looks like a bulky panther, is Gibbous, obvs.)

Crescent the tiny black kitten is again being territorial about “her” basket. This time a red white and blue shoelace braid has fallen into her domain. While Crescent does have a white spot on her, it’s a small one on her chest. That dot on her forehead is just lint from slamming herself into the walls of the basket so much.

Tiny terror black kitten Crescent looks like she’s copying a dachshund and ferret with her pose. Her eyes are glaring at the back half of the catio, where the moonlight trio of kittens (from other litters than the moon phase trio) hang out. One of the moonlights - Callisto - got inside Crescent’s bag, so this is her storming off while growling, as she looks for something to sabotage.

I cropped a photo of the three moon phase kittens to just little sis Crescent - btw, the middle child is Eclipse, who is a purrball with a brighter small white chest dot - because Crescent’s pose was too cute and worth seeing even though it’s a bit blurry. She’s slightly scrunched as she looks up with briefly innocent eyes.

Catnip deployed got the artist formerly known as the porch kitty to brave the downstairs! Everyone accepts her. I mean, they hang out with her all the time upstairs! And yet somehow she thinks she’s usually not allowed down here! She’ll wander down, then panic and flee when she gets a “Welcome!”

New fosters! The Sun & Moon Coalition - six kittens total from three litters - have taken over the catio. Belle’s still here too, as we hold out hope she’ll stop being scared of people if her kind soul finds kitty friends to help her adjustment process. More pics later. Details in alt text.

The Sunlight/Moonlight Trio of foster kittens, each on a different level of a kitty cubby. Sol - both for “solar” and cuz he’s solidly built and has a coat of solid gray and solid white - naps on the bottom layer. On top is Sol’s brother, Cal - for Callisto the moon, as my mother clicked a related link to her actual “moonlight in other languages” search and decided she liked it - has white stripes on his gray areas. In the middle is solo girl Ayla, which is apparently “moonlight” in Turkish, a medium gray and cream tabby who was meant to share Belle’s cage, but the problem is Ayla is a hilarious klutz and she messed up her first socializing trial with her innocent obliviousness. (It’s the lady version of my Lula! Speaking of, Lula got lost in the bedroom this morning, but standing on the wrong side of a half-open door and getting confused, ending in his brain lock causing him to not get his treat.)

Gibbous - named after the phase of the moon when the bigger area is seen - is a large chunk of a lad who looks like an all-black panther cub! He’s on the left. (You can’t really tell the trio apart in this pic, but I had other photos that let me know who is who.) He’s a playful, sweet big lug that is happy to cuddle!

Crescent - named after the phase of the moon when the visible part is smaller - is the precious tiny girl in the center, with an itty bitty tuft of white on her chest. She’s a glorious type of zesty evil with the energy of both brothers combined and high brat attributes! I love her already

Eclipse is the middle-sized child, who has a more notable white chest patch (tho it’s still tiny) and also some white on his inner hip. He’s the biggest purrball, who goes into sweetie mode once you pick him up! And his lighter lips give him a wonderful innocent face!

Belle, the super fluffy gray foster cat, with a white underside, looks at me with an expression of betrayal, for I’ve caught her shy self playing with toys! Our Taco Belle (guess where she was caught!) was caught at five months old, so she’s out of the socializing window and as a result she’s extremely nervous around people. But she didn’t get the standard trap and release a cat like her normally would get; since Belle, even when panicking over someone trying to get her into a carrier, refuses to be violent or act out. She’s got a sweet soul, so we’ll give her a chance. At worst, she’ll go to mom’s old office and join the semi-ferals, where she’ll have community and care with no pressure to go full housecat. Since she clearly likes other cats, there’s hope we can forge a bond between her and Ayla and soon get them sharing a cage.
