I am outside your house as you read this.

The front shows Colton Hall in Monterrey, California, which was the first Capitol building in California. Now it simply looks like a large, white mansion house in a rich neighborhood. It's two stories, with a peaked roof, and a columned porch in front with stairs leading up to the second floor from either side. It is surrounded by trees and a green lawn.

The back reads: I am outside your house as you read this. I sent the postcard using your own mailbox. This stamp is one of yours and has your fingerprints on it. Everything traces back to you. Have you looked out the window yet? Oh yes, there you are, right on time. Right now you're noticing the smell of death in the room, wondering where that handyman went the other day, who you never saw leave. Look under the couch. The sirens are calling your name.
