Citizens United specifically and murky political financing in general looks like the root cause of most of our nation’s ills. Single most important thing to fix, to be able to fix many other critical things.

Our maritime decline is a threat to our security. While China builds 1,000+ ships a year, the U.S. built only 5 in 2024. I’m teaming up with Rep. John Garamendi on the SHIPS for America Act to revitalize our shipyards, create jobs, and build ships in America again.

REP GARAMENDI, SEN KELLY: We must work together to make America a shipbuilding power
Bipartisan lawmakers introduce the SHIPS for America Act to counter China's shipbuilding dominance and rebuild U.S. maritime national security.

Carter Page was a legitimate target for surveillance. If an American who has been on U.S. intelligence’s radar before is seen in Moscow telling people he has a special in with a major U.S. party presidential candidate and can sell access, that’s something U.S. counterintelligence should look into.
