Now that Andy Burnham has reopened the Europe question, free movement will be at the centre of debate. For @arguablymag.bsky.social I argue that it's a big benefit, not a price to be paid for a better trade relationship. www.arguably.uk/p/eu-free-mo...

Is anyone else absurdly excited at the prospect of Ken Russell's 1971 film The Devils being released in a full, 4k restored version. Its been unavailable for years but I saw it in 1971 (I think) and would love to see it again.

Over the last few months these guys made me proud to be British: kind, practical, profoundly moral, a testament to this island. Now they're targeted by the very worst of us. I just gave them a bunch of money. You should too. Show those fascist clowns what's what. rnli.org/support-us/g...

Yelling "stop the boats!" as I charge in to rob this NatWest at gun point so that I can later call the Home Secretary as a character witness and the BBC will spend two weeks telling all my potential future jurors how legitimate my concerns were.

My non-savvy arguments: 1. It's the biggest expansion of freedom for Europeans that the EU has delivered. 2. Brits are Europeans. Why does everyone else in democratic Europe get this benefit and not us?

OK, thought experiment. So the other countries Trump has approached agree to provide support, then let's say a UK aircraft carrier is attacked and sunk. Does Trump A) immediately invoke NATO article 5? Or B) shrug & say, 'well it's, tough but they should be better prepared?'
