The wall has been stopped, albeit perhaps not forever, in Texas. It's also been stopped for months in Arizona. But over here in Ca our sacred and wild spaces are being desecrated and our politicians are doing the square root of fuck all. That doesn't mean we have to wait for them.

One of my big takeaways from #MeToo was that the primary problem was never that men in positions of power didn’t believe victims. It was that they thought sexual violence is something women deserve.

I've read studies showing that 24-61% of men self reported committing sexual assault of some kind. It's staggering. Nearly every woman in my life has experienced it, and im terrified as a parent that it is inevitable that my children will experience it. "Not committing sexual assault" is a low bar
