It could be that the model’s highest probability token at the start of some turns was <END>, but the sampler was configured to ignore it. So the characterization “they can’t stop because it goes against their training” would be a pretty severe misunderstanding of the mechanism.

I have been in an insurance industry job for 2.5 years producing AI tools, AI chat bot frontends, AI backends, so it’s not like I have no idea what they do. I can see the fake bullshit my company is rushing to build, hoping it will raise stock prices.

I can’t fathom a worldview that says the five richest companies in the world should have more say than millions of citizens who have to live with the externalities. The bare minimum is that the data centers do everything possible to mitigate environmental externalities (self power with solar, etc).

It has been trained on millions of drawings with labels, so it pattern matches the drawing to a label then pattern matches that to some training data. Pattern matching is a type of thinking, so it does some subset of human thinking.

The biggest problem I see with this sort of RAG system is when two reference documents appear to contradict each other (e.g. perhaps because they apply in different circumstances). Then the main agent will produce a self-contradictory statement asserting both documents are true at once.
