As the Trump administration tries to twist Title IX against LGBTQI+ youth in schools, civil rights protections are critical. Congressmembers introduced a resolution to mark the anniversary of Title IX, calling for its protections to be honored, especially for trans, intersex & nonbinary students.

People really need to feel less entitled to the bodies of intersex people. No one feels comfortable, commenting about the genitals of other people, unless they’re intersex then its suddenly okay. No one feels comfortable denying medical conditions, unless they’re intersex then it’s suddenly okay.

I was designated female at birth due to ambiguous, female-adjacent genitalia, then reassigned male and raised unknowingly as a boy. I later transitioned as a trans woman, with the typical dysphoria, HRT, coming out, and discrimination. So I am an “AFAB trans woman”, but also "Intersex trans woman".

There is a frequent and mistaken view that Hachiman-okami's place and purview is only in the battlefield. This is why I like this print by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, depicting Empress Jingu, who is part of the Hachiman trinity, in Kyushu. She's *fishing*.

Completed the first run of the stainless steel raw casts of my Konkokyo Shinmon pendant sculpt. These have gone through rough glass-bead polish, but must now go through a finer grade polish to work towards a mirror finish. Still much work to do, but I can see the light at the of the tunnel!

For anyone who’s in Kansai and is interested in Ainu culture, there’s an exhibition being held on floor 9 of the Hankyu Umeda department store in Osaka until the 20th. Various works from Nibutani Ainu are on display (and on sale!). Props and costumes from the Golden Kamuy movie are on display too.
