Good fucking lord, I just happen to think keeping the orange baby on-side is smarter than not and it might save a few jobs. "YOU WOULD PROBABLY SUCK ADOLF HITLER'S DICK" is not the most natural dialectical leap.

The right-wing reaction to Labour securing a difficult Indian trade deal is a useful reminder. Even if this government was performing better, they'd still brand it a failure. Absolutely no reasoning with the modern British right at all.

Hey British media, It’s no surprise that if you give Farage the run of the place, he’ll start winning. Time to do your actual jobs and start interrogating him on his Brexit shitshow, his funding, his Trumpiness, his idiotic manifesto, his real plans for the NHS… instead of drumrolling him into No.10

Anyone who thinks that Farage and his rebadged, still racist Reform Party is successful in elections because of their ability and policies is either deluded, or doesn’t watch *news*. Right wing billionaires own most media outlets and they want Farage in power. A useful tool, like Trump in broken US

Indeed. My institution/dept delivers ‘non standard’ programmes so we teach all year round (and this is on top of our standard semesterised programmes) - we have very few chances for holidays or for research even these days 😒

know it's now a long lost battle but I really do miss the boundary that once existed between work chat and personal chat, felt a lot healthier to have Work Emails and Personal Messages on different apps, not convinced it's good for people to have everything happening in the same place

Still incredible that anyone swallows the “fact checkers are biased” bullshit. The Left want to run things well for ev1. The Right don’t, so they have to lie about shit. Then when they get called out, they say the fact checkers are “biased”. That is what is happening.

Standing up to the authoritarian wave requires more than cheerleading for democracy; it demands making democratic societies more participatory, responsive, and adaptable at all levels, from local to national, in response to the societal shifts driven by the Internet over the past 15 years.

Once more, Farage is claiming that he stood up in the European Parliament in early 2014 and predicted the Ukraine war. In fact, he stood up in September 2014, AFTER the annexation of Crimea, and blamed Europe for Putin's actions. I kept the receipts. Listen here 👇🏽 open.spotify.com/episode/77cz...
