I'm excited to see the Cavs this week. I hope they have a chip on their shoulder with how much hype teams like Miami and Philly are getting. Training camp in Europe has kind of turned into a media blackout for them.

Rocchio staring at a hanging curve ball and then swinging at three low pitches is pretty much the story of Cleveland's offense.

i also really dislike the "my parents worked hard so i wouldn't have to" bit that happens. My dad worked hard and when i went to work for/with him he was excited about it. He got to pass along everything he learned. When i became a writer he liked that too, but one isn't better than the other.

My greatest frustrating has been with policy wonks who persist in thinking we can just keep doing normal policy analysis ("calling balls and strikes") in this situation. The President of the United States is both lawless and out of his mind. That preempts all normal discussion.

Well, that’s not the opening paragraph I expected.
1. Introduction

In the 1988 sci -fi roleplaying game Cyberpunk , the European Currency Unit serves as the global currency (colloquially referred to as “euro dollar”, “ed" or “eddie”) . In the story, the dismantling of US
democracy, a sovereign debt crisis and geopolitical mistakes
trigger the collap se of the United States . The European Economic
Community steps in and uses its well -regulated banking system and
single currency to displace the dollar’s hegemonic role.

Jack Smith already a legend, would have hit god status with a “I wouldn’t have gone to a Hawks game then because I don’t like Trae Youngs usage rate, but now they got that read and react game, so it’s possible“

Jack Smith is a better person than me. I have seen the Hawks play in person in three cities not named Atlanta. If asked under oath if I ever attended a Hawks game, I would unflinchingly say no. Catching perjury charges would be less humiliating than admitting the truth.

sir do you deny that you witnessed Trae Young's 10-assist, 8-turnover performance? is it your testimony that you have never witnessed Clint Capela going 1-for-4 from the foul line? might i remind you that you are UNDER OATH

Anyway if Meta is doing this with your texts I’m not sure what’s stopping them from ingesting your whole hard drive so you should probably assume they are.

It ALMOST feels like we’re just starting to reach the normies with “the federal government and Silicon Valley have joined forces to spy on every aspect of your life and it’s called Palantir” and it’s either going to be the turning point for radical privacy or cripple the concept forever.

A key component of the Cambridge Analytica outrage was your friends subjecting you to data theft without your consent or knowledge. Facebook is running the same playbook on your text messages. Even if you’re not on Meta properties, they’re ingesting your interactions.
Aten installed Muse on both his iPhone and a Mac mini that he uses to test out various Al agents and tech. It took Meta a single day to begin "helpfully" pitching article ideas based on texts he'd sent to a podcast co-host.
When he asked Muse how it got the information, it said that it read banners from incoming texts. But that's not true, either.
After doing a little digging, Aten says Muse synced 187,000 lines from his Messages database, despite Full Disk Access being Off.Unless Aten is the most popular person on the face of the planet, I sincerely doubt he'd gotten 187,000 lines of text in roughly 24 hours. What happened is that, without permission, Muse went into the app and downloaded the information.
He had not given Muse permission to access Messages, and full disk access was not enabled. It just went ahead and uploaded those texts anyway.
Muse can take "unexpected actions" indeed.
