Again, the donors who have powered Paxton through his impeachment and primary did so not in spite of Paxton being corrupt, but due to the fact that he's corrupt. It's very important that they lose.

Turnout in the midterms is going to be a huge factor. If it's on the floor, and Trump's voters aren't going to show without him on the ballot in 28, then the calculus starts to change.

Trump forcing the U.S. out of the industrial-scale clean energy markets has made those alternatives cheaper in markets like China and India. In a decade when they're no longer paying for inputs, we'll be a competitive disadvantage.

One of the deeply disillusioning things about the Trump era is the slow rolling revelation that there really aren't any *good* Congressional Rs. Fitzpatrick could've written off a loss to a toxic Trump-fueled cycle and run again later. He didn't have to do this.
