Yeah, it seems to have been forgotten, which with today’s state of affairs for trans folks feels even more brutal somehow. Soloway not doing anything since ILD likely has something to do with it - showrunners in the public eye keep their past work front of mind I think.

I refuse to let that stupid list give me a nervous breakdown, but it is ridiculous & disqualifying that Orange Is The New Black is not on it (along with a bunch of other brilliant shows, including Crazy Ex-Girlfriend)

Here's mine (in no particular order) and for real don't sleep on Rectify and how did Transparent not make the official 100 list??

Catherine Haight @catehaight.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
Rectify is the first show I ask people if they’ve seen when they’re looking for something to watch. It’s insanely good. And I’m bias because I worked on it, but I can’t believe Transparent isn’t on this list. Nix Scandal and Dexter (among others!) to add them both!!!

Are any of you watching Furious on Hulu? Some of the best acting and writing I've seen in a crime series in the last couple of years. Eight episodes (I've seen seven); genuinely suspenseful and surprising; totally worth your time. Quincy Tyler Bernstine in particular is just killing it.

Edited beautifully by my better half, this film will in fact make you cry - in the most delightful way. Lynskey is her usual glorious self, and Sandler is a revelation. I have seen this film maybe half a dozen times now and love it more each time! Check it out on Netflix on Friday.

What I loved about seeing The Frames, especially pre-Once, is how clear it was that they knew they were rock stars, even if no one else did, yet. Not in the sense of acting like jerks, but in clearly believing that this music in this room on this night might actually save your life.

RIP
Sam Neill on why 'The Piano' (1993) is an important movie in cinema history:

"I don't think I can overestimate how important 'The Paino' is for me in hindsight. it sits on my funny old CV like a medal on my chest. It wasn't my film. It Jane Campion's. I wasn't the star of the film. That was Holly Hunter. But there is honour to be found in the second fiddle. Or fopurth. No one notices you much, you don't get nominated for things. But you served. I was there in an important feminist film. I was there on the front line in an important New Zealand film. Neither of those labels does the film justice. It's a work of art. And look, that tiny little figure in the fabric—see down there on the right—that's me. It's a film that will always have a place in cinema history. And I served in it."

Be sure to use Al when making your next, I don't know, meal plan, for example. Definitely do not call your friend who loves to cook and ask her for her favorite recipes or tips or ways to save time making meals, because you will end
up talking for longer than you had hoped, hearing, perhaps, about her father's cancer diagnosis or how lonely she's been or even what she's planted in her spring garden and then lost with the early frost.

I have also always hated that when someone is supposed to be speaking a foreign language they speaking English with the accent from that country. One of the worst examples being House of Gucci, obvi. Doesn't some one say "how you say..." in that film as though searching for the words...in ENGLISH?
