For #Mechtober 6th, we look at the Rifleman IIc! This original TRO 3055 Mech was STUNNING in full color along with the other IIc Mechs. It's obnoxiously long barrel arms & extra large radar dish are iconic. The new CGl sculpt isn't nearly as flashy, but gets the job done.

#MechTober 5 - The Lone Wolves As with many others, my experience with the Lone Wolves is mostly from Lone Wolf and Fox. There is one hot spot in Hinterlands where your unit can join them, but it seems like an expansion to cover working with the coop more would be fun.

Today for #Mechtober is Moutain Wolf Battlemechs. Across multiple Shrapnels, Rusty Zimmerman wrote an arc about getting MW's Merlin into production, and it's incredible. The first story is one of family pride, and despair; of love and trying to earn a father's love. It's Btech fiction at its best.

Day3 #mechtober oh, how I'd love to have a tactical, round based Battletech game with state-of-the-art graphics and storyline. With multiple DLCs set in various timelines. As good as #mechwarrior 5 is, it's more arcade than a realistic combat simulator (still love it, brilliant game)

4th day of #mechtober Can't say too much about the SLDF as I've never spent too much time learning about them. That being said, Randall N. Bill's trilogy, 'Founding of the clans' helped a lot understanding the SLDF and General Kerensky, at least in their last moments in the IS. #battletech

Day Four of #mechtober #battletech and all eyes turn to the SLDF. I never quite connected with the RoTS so don't have interest yet with regards the NuSLDF so shall focus on the original bogey man of the setting. The three "Year of the Star League" books in 2012 greatly expanded the info on the SLDF.

Thieving SLDF scum, I mean its ever so nice that the Com Guards (retroactively) used a SLDF insignia.

#MechTober 4 - SLDF I've enjoyed the recent fiction covering the third Star League: Trial of Birthright and The Long Road. The tension between ilKhan Alaric Ward's vision of a Clan society and the former Republic members trying to preserve their ideals in the new SLDF has been interesting.

Clan Blood Spirit continued the legacy of their ancestors in seeking to uphold the camaraderie of the Star League's true children, and when that failed, died with the stubbornness of Hanni Schmitt.
