Finally joining in on #mechtober, my non-canonical Northwind Highlanders lance: the Night Witches! #battletech #minipainting

The Night Witches in front of the reason for their unit insignia; a plush dog toy of a highland cow in a witch's hat.

From the depths of hell in silence
Cast their spells, explosive violence
Highland witches, war Perfected
Hecate’s scout Lance Unexpected

Pushing on and on their mechs are going strong
Highland’s number one
Somewhere down below they’re looking for the foe
Night lance on a run
You can’t hide, you can’t move, just abide,
Their attack’s been proved
Raiders in the dark
Silent through the night the Witches join the fight
Never miss their mark

Highland blades of death
Prepare to meet your fate

Foes are losing ground, retreating to the sound
Death is in the air
Suddenly appears, confirming all your fears
Strike from Witches lair
Target found, come around, barrels sound
From the battleground
Clanners aiming high
WoB-ies await, defeat them at the gates
Live to fight and fly

Gosh, it's just soooo WONDERFUL to have realizations about yourself hit RIGHT as you're going to sleep! Especially when your brain decides to take the ball and run with it rather than follow instructions and leave it alone until tomorrow! Yes, it's kink related. No, I will not be elaborating. #VENT

Dah whimsy! It got me! My Highland Night Witches now have a (ginourmous) mascot. Is it technically a mass produced dog toy? Don't worry about that, look at the cow. It's a highland cow in a witch hat. That's adorable! Just lookit the cow.
