Okay, I need a bit of levity on the timeline, so here's a question of all time. If Ordinary Sausage made a sausage out of a game, which game would be the most horrific and/or funny?

They do, but there's different tiers of crop, as well as crops that only grow at certain seasons, and every week or so a traveling merchant visits to buy certain crops at 1.5x the value, as well as a tax man who wants specified crops, so it really encourages you to grow a wide variety.

Oh, I forgot to mention, there's a fully functional church organ in one of the levels. Do with this information what you will. Bonus points to anyone who recognizes the song.

I... I don't know if this is only happening because I named a goat Black Philip or if any goat will start creepily talking to you, but if the former, bravo game. I only wanted to live deliciously.

An ominous looking goat I named Black Philip says "....below the town...."

I have been obsessed with detective games lately, and Blake Manor may be my favorite. It's not perfect, but the stark, Mignola-esque artwork, thoughtful character writing, and exploration of themes through Irish history and folklore are all incredibly compelling. A truly delightful game.

Desperados 3 is a tremendously good strategy game, I think I recommend one of Mimimi's stealth tactics games nearly every steam sale, but for damn good reason. Nobody did it like them. Take your posse of cowpokes on elaborate murder-puzzle stages in a genuinely epic revenge narrative.

Want to know a secret about my Steam Sale threads? I always try to nest the really popular picks, the ones I know are gonna get lots of reskeets and quotes, further down into the thread. That way, the more underrated and sick picks are up front and kinda carried by the bigger titles.

Vampyr, because I will always stan Dontnod's ambitious vampire game, is it flawed? Sure. But there's nothing quite like it, the maudlin atmosphere, the melodrama, Anthony Howell's goated vocal performance as the protagonist, it's magnificent.

Lucah: Born of a Dream is an absolute gem, the sketchy artstyle might take a little getting used to, but the combat is just so unbelievably juicy. Give this one a go, it's shockingly good.

HROT is still one of the absolute best Retro FPS titles you could ever hope to play, it has an atmosphere like no other, devious secrets, and has some more effective scares than many full blown horror games I've played. Also, gasmask honse.

Extremely strong second on this recommendation, if for nothing else other than the joys of taking copious amounts of notes.

I played this game YEAAAARS ago and it has not left my mind. Lives here rent free. It’s not only a great horror, it’s actually a history lesson and I mean that in the most positive way I can. Detention is an easy recommendation. Play it.

100%. It's a game that sticks with you, and you start seeing its influence everywhere. Between this and Nine Sols, there are some real masters of the craft over at Red Candle. 2.39 USD is a steal for a game like this

Return of the Obra Dinn is one I don't see go on sale very often, but my god what an incredible game! I knew it was going to be special going in, but I didn't realize how elated I'd be at getting the correct solution and that jaunty theme plays, or how invested I'd be in uncovering the story.
