I realise now also that many people won’t know that harmful digital communications & much of harassment is considered civil law, not criminal. So those women photographed without their consent can’t have been harassed because they don’t *know* that he photographed them. It’s a massive flaw.

I wish more people knew about this study Police did in 2021 where they reviewed every incident for 11 years meeting the threshold for firearms use and estimated that, had the officers been carrying a gun (i.e. if police were routinely armed), 92 more people would've been shot and 43 of them killed.

I agree. Not only is the news from Gaza utterly devastating, and getting worse; I don’t see any chance of a productive outcome from this bombing campaign, for anyone. I can see it’s a survival strategy for Netanyahu personally, but I can’t see it making Israel safer or more secure.

So, although National did far better in the election than even last-minute polling predicted, due to oddities of NZ elections that I didn't know of till yesterday Nat+ACT only have majority of 61 out of 121 till 25 Nov by-election (and then likely to become 62 out of 122).
