The dog doesn’t let me go to many exhibitions anymore (such a tyrant) but I made it to this one and omg, so glad I did. Just exquisite. To see them next to each other & read about their respective careers. Top notch (I say this as the most basic art person you’ll ever meet).

I had the loveliest dream about someone I love who died & we sat on a sofa & chatted and caught up about life. It wasn’t like they weren’t here anymore, almost like they’d just been in another room. I truly believe their spirit is still with me & it’s nice to check in from time to time 🩶

This year we chose to go somewhere smaller for our annual winter lights outing & @gilbertwhites.bsky.social did not disappoint! With the added bonus of the trail starting through the house & a focus on trying to minimise the impact of the lights on the environment with UV torches to use outside.

I think everyone should be made to do a fireworks-trauma-to-animals (and veterans) awareness course. Of course, some people won’t care a jot & will carry on regardless but I’m convinced seeing the panic it causes would change some people’s behaviour.
