The best thing about having an empty nest is having a tidy house, followed by not being required for the 8am Saturday driving tasks. Which lead to long lie-ins. Much needed after a busy week.

Just about recovering from Open House at the Annunciation Marble Arch. We had over 100 people visit on the Saturday and 66 for the deaf lead talk by Michael Woods on conquering Everest on the Friday night.

Fabulous to be at the official opening of the Football Museum of Wales /Wrexham Museum today. The team have worked so hard to bring their ideas and principles to reality. And the outcome is just wonderful. So many voices of local people throughout.

Local government archivists, I feel your pain today as reorganisation plans are ripped up. I shall say no more, but should I share the emergency cake in a mug recipe again?

It was an important point this week in the development of the Accrington Dome project as we presented to the Heritage Fund at the gateway review. Hoping to secure the funding for this project so this guy can be the centre piece of new heritage facility. The one with the blue face, not me!

The first English woman to leave a million £ estate in 1903, left a total of £2000 to charitable organisations. She didn’t even name them, she left her executors to decide. A bit of a contrast to my subject who died the year before, leaving £600k+ via mainly to charities. My mind is boggling.

So I treated myself to following a little rabbit hole of research today. Leading me to find out that in Das Kapital, Marx quoted parliamentary evidence presented by one of the people I am currently researching. I didn’t see that tie-up coming.
