Netanyahu doesn’t represent my values, or the values of most American Jews. He is a war criminal and he deserves to be tried for it. The way for me to be safe as a Diaspora Jew is to not be associated with Netanyahu and his crimes. Our self-appointed community leaders seem to want the opposite.

The Prime Minister of the Jewish state is committing war crimes. To say that holding him accountable for that is in some way a personal attack on American Jewish identity says deeply troubling things about American Jewish identity. If that makes me less safe, he should stop doing war crimes.

It’s embarrassing that the rabbi of Central Synagogue - one of the most prominent Reform rabbis in the US - is portraying Mamdani’s accurate description of Netanyahu as a war criminal as a sign of antisemitism. This is part of why young people take antisemitism less seriously than they should.

Been keeping my head in the sand, newswise, because I have work to do and tubs to scrub. Which maybe explains why I assumed that "Flock cameras" were for monitoring birds. Seems like it might be an important thing to do, keep an eye on bird populations, make sure they are okay. Good use of money.

Lindsey Graham spent the last decade of his life in public service as a US Senator, trying hard to be remembered as an enemy of the Constitution who worked to destroy American democracy and exhibited occasional signs that he knew why that was bad but kept doing it anyway. I will honor his choice.
