Day three of the October art challenge, and not only an I already playing catch up, I'm also dealing with a leaky pen. So that's fun.

The wall of awful also helps to explain why techniques like Eat the Frog tend not to work for ADHD brains.

Ok, here it is, the first short story I've written to completion in years. Thank you for the #SFSwap opportunity, @glempy.bsky.social, and thank you @bootsmcgoot.bsky.social for the prompt! Be warned - it gets pretty dark. medium.com/@sam.kurd42/...

Achievement unlocked: wrote a thing! It might be hosted on my Patreon, but there's no pawall for this post. Thanks to @glempy.bsky.social for reviving #SFSwap and giving me the kick in the pants I needed to make words happen again. www.patreon.com/RachelTonksH...

SFSwap: Dragon's Den 2126 | Rachel Tonks Hill

My dear friend, Sir John of Glemp, has resurrected SFSwap from days of yore. Originally organised by Nate Crowley more years ago than I want

Throwback to me sitting in a mostly empty first aid post at Hull Fair, freshly dumped, while this blared from the waltzers outside every five minutes.

Apparently the local stoners like to go for a walk about the same time I walk Odie, so now I have an inexplicable craving for proper ring donuts, fresh out the fryer.

Building a beautiful town based on socialist principles with absolutely zero OSHA compliance.

Screenshot of a town built in Minecraft with its distinctive blocky style. There are several different huts and towers visible, with hills and trees in the background. It is raining.

Tim Curry and Dolly Parton have taught us not only that you should be bigger, weirder, gayer, and freakier, but also that those qualities are what people will love about you. The things that make you strange and amazing are the things that will resonate with other strange and amazing people

Tim Curry was basically the voice of my childhood. I will forever be annoyed that I am apparently the only one who wants Peter Pan and the Pirates on dvd.
