Cambry Ardship @cambryardship.bsky.social · 11/10/2026my spicier takes are that - semiotically an ai photo of french fries should be read the same as a 2000s restaurant putting clip art of a french waiter with a bottle of wine on the menu - today's 10 year olds will be very nostalgic, in 20 years, for this style of ai slop pictures 020
Cambry Ardship @cambryardship.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Well, thank you, but I don't think it's anywhere near publication quality. There's a whole host of technical and artistic issues. My point is more, when small restaurants turn to ai tools, it's not coming out of nowhere, there are big logistical challenges and costs to getting good food photography 220
Cambry Ardship @cambryardship.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Lighting and composition is always a challenge for the camera side of any professional photography, but the particular thing about food photography is that the food needs to cooperate too, with styling, plating, and non-food props. Cambry Ardship @cambryardship.bsky.social · 06/10/2026The nice thing is that it very much wouldn't need to be an "all at once" project. Cambry Ardship @cambryardship.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Yeah, this is not a government that has significant political room to play. Cambry Ardship @cambryardship.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Thank you. But I do think it is important what metaphors and comparisons we use and holding an elected office is not a job, as we commonly mean. Cambry Ardship @cambryardship.bsky.social · 02/10/2026It’s important to be clear that a mayor is not a councillor‘s boss and both are independent political actors who get one vote at council.
