I got brought into cork university hospital, by fucking ambulance to get stitches. In the USA, this would take fucking a few hours at most. I have been in the waiting room in Ireland at CUH for over 10 hours, with no progress.

The thing people keep trying to tell you is that it was not absurd. People make irrational choices regarding money, that lead to situations where guaranteed 50k is more rational than EV of 500k. More than money is in the equation. Put a $ value on the guaranteed relief of your debts being paid.
