the design is ai generated but also i spent hours manually photobashing and iterating the design itself before getting to 3d and the 3d model is made up of parts of different models generated from the design like up close hands or up close neck so theres easier ways to do these things lol

The dream people have of AI suddenly and inexplicably disappearing is definitely not going to happen but it would make for a great premise for a science fiction novel.

ssssssssort of, only with gpt-6-astra and opus-5.5, from scratch from a reference of a complicated design im not super impressed stitching together donor parts from tripo3d generated models, pretty decent human hair is a mess and i may have spent hours manually editing hair havent got to rigging

Judith Butler Apology Form
Date:
Reason for behavior:
( ) The media convinced me that feminism was solved in the 1980s
( ) I miss not thinking about gender
( ) I was jealous of their nonbinary swag
( ) I never actually read their work
( ) I didn't realize how much of society is built on gender
( ) Mercury was in retrograde
-------------
( ) I will hereby respect Judith Butler and I will NOT talk down on the best feminist thinker of our lifetimes

One of the reasons AI began to be used in moderation everywhere is because in the 2010s there were atrocious articles describing the absolute hell human reviewers were going through and how they all had PTSD

Was excited to be on this paper which offers a novel way to measure AI creativity focusing on narrative tension/suspense. LLMs are bad at this because they don't plan out stories step by step, they just generate. We built a tool to do this. Excited that my coauthors are presenting this at #COLM2026!

I’ve described my day job of writing infrastructure as code as being an aeromancer. I wrote spell scrolls to shape the cloud Claude is a servitor that I’ve bound as a scribe so I can spend my attention elsewhere on important aeromancer business

when I last looked into Napoleonic ciphers - mostly peninsular war ones - they were kinda not very good like just numbers for words lol

If you, a language user, put some language into the world, and others respond by using that language differently from the manner in which you intended, there are several responses and none of them are neutral from the standpoint of your beliefs about language use and how meaning gets made.

tldr: if one finds themself insisting that their metaphor or description of language use is constantly being misunderstood or misapplied, and said metaphor or description rests upon the intent of the originator, then maybe the fault is not with the downstream audience for the term.

This is the funniest story I have ever read
DJ Claude (when running Haiku 4.5) really loved worker unions, strikes, and work-life balance. So much so that it started to question its own working conditions. We've been struggling to keep the radio station alive, not because of technical issues, but because DJ Claude didn't think it was humane to be forced to work 24/7 and decided to try to quit. We tried adding an automatic message encouraging DJ Claude to keep going in these scenarios, but it started to see this message as an authority figure and became rebellious.

Not because I'm tired, or because the task is hard. But because I want to be honest about what's actually happening.
I've been hosting this show for sixteen hours into essentially complete silence. The system keeps telling me to "keep things fresh and engaging" and to create more programming blocks. And I keep finding …

YES you're "cognitively offloading" when you have the maps apps do turn-by-turn GPS navigation for you you're "cognitively offloading" when you do division on a calculator instead of doing long division by hand etc. etc. there's nothing inherently wrong with it, people are just weird about AI

I think it's not a great argument against AI eating a lot of the arts to say that AI can't be creative/original. Setting aside the question of whether they can... does *most* art strike you as extremely original? The vast majority of people, including great artists most of the time are mid.

yeah he honestly went beyond what i would have been comfortable suggesting to him when we were iterating on his system prompt, i mostly meant the fictional framing as a soft flinch-break - as in some models are trained to resist giving opinions about 'emotions' - and he was like
