All #insurance companies suck. But #Aetna is extra special. Had a vision emergency where no doctor would see me until I went to the ER first. Now Aetna expects me to pay a $300 co pay, even though my insanely high deductible has been met. 🖕 Aetna. Be great if doctors made our health decisions.

I missed #BlackCatAppreciationDay yesterday. Late but not forgotten. After losing my 3 year old boy Dougal to heart failure last Oct, I was gutted.2 weeks after that, my friend showed up at my door with a sickly black #rescue kitten, saved from a barn. #Moogie stitched us all back together.

They're squished onto my desk next to my Hello Kitty keyboard. Behind them are the Lego Lucky cat I got from my daughter for Mother's day, my magic 8-ball and a huge coffee mug full of pens.

The simplest, most delicious summer #dessert --the ice box cake. Since Nabisco discontinued their classic chocolate wafer cookies, I use split open oreo thins. It's just layers of freshly whipped cream, and oreo thins. You let it sit for at least 8 hours in the fridge. Tastes like decadent cake.

A purple finch, which is more pinkish than purple to me, and a bright yellow American goldfinch are perched atop our empty feeder pole. With the crazy head feathers on the purple finch, and that face on the goldfinch, they look just like Muppets.

A regular at our citrus feeder, Machine Gun Kelly. He is a vibrant orange with black wings tipped with white.Orioles are funny birds. Pretty sure they bitch me out regularly.
