Working through "What Dispatch Heard in May" and an 8 year old girl on a bike was struck in Potomac Yard by an Amazon truck last Friday. Hit and run (kid ok/driver caught). Bookend kid strikes in May. Plus Dash bus v. vehicle and Police car v. vehicle both on the E Braddock project corridor #data

The swag from the Carlyle bike to work day pit stop might be the best I've ever had. Last year the Carlyle Council was trying to veto the Holland Ln bike lanes, so is this how they're saying sorry? (Cat's name is Widget - he was not disturbed)

One of my party facts is that according to polls, Americans believe foreign aid is about 25% of the federal budget and on average that it *should* be about 10%. The actual number is less than 1%. Foreign aid has long been a boogey man of the right, so it's not surprising they're vilifying it now.

Now that it's four days post snowstorm, don't forget to catalog the number of cars parked on the street with smooth, uncleared snowdrifts. Each illustrates the waste of giving over so much public space for car storage. Imagined images of protected multimodal infrastructure in their place helps.
