We can bike eastbound to get down with some nachos for ALX Bike Buses. Supporting ALX Bike Buses means supporting existing & future bike buses ALL over town, and building the resources we need for equitable access to bike buses. 🙌

Sometimes it seems like people think no one on the west end bikes. But despite the at times hostile lack of infrastructure, people are biking and scooting. Out of choice and and out of necessity.

Two bikes locked up early on a Saturday morning outside LA Mart, a critical supermarket for the community, located at the impossibly unsafe to bike intersection of Edsall and Van Dorn.

My boss reached out with a scheduling question and, in that question, asked whether the proposed time for a work team gathering on a Friday “would work for bike bus." Y’all. You can’t always pick your bosses. But if you can, pick you a boss that cherishes and protects the bike bus in your life. 🥹

Another mom friend just pulled the trigger on getting an ebike after realizing how much easier school drop off and her own commute would be without fighting traffic and spending time looking for parking. Friend, you have no idea how much you’re gonna wanna ride that bike now that you have it.

Did I wake up two hours early because that’s just middle age or is it because I’m so excited Bike Bus is back today? Hard to say but let’s go with the latter.

😍🥺💪🏽 This is it. This is our why. Kids growing confidence, growing independence. Whether you join a school bike bus or join our kids club, the positive impact on kids is undeniable. DM us up if you want your kid to join Kids Bike Club and we’ll send you the sign up link.

Hey [redacted], organizing these bike rides was brilliant. [redacted kid name] is way more proficient on her bike, and had a great time getting there. We'd be down for weekend rides during the school year if you're inspired to organize something.

Thanks,

Is it even the last day of summer break if you don’t ride your bike with friends to the waterpark with a pit stop at the lake that’s right there but never gets noticed if you drive by in a car? 1/5

Didn’t get any pictures but we had another fun kids bike club ride today to Armistead Boothe park. We welcomed some new friends to the crew, helped a friend work on balance, played on the playground, frisbee, and skateboarding at the park. This is how community happens.
