The European Alliance of Socialists and Democrats didn't come out and condemn Labour for implementing a bathroom ban. There as some condemnation from ultra progressive places and the trade union movement, but most of the political spectrum and civil society did NOT do this.

this is only slightly older than me and the invention of modern borders hadn't even finished by the time my dad was an adult approx 1950 and his would have only just missed the start, what, 70 years before? having been born in the late 1800s (men on that side of my family were all quite old dads)
