a fun and amazingly coincidental addendum to this is, I spent so much time then trying to make beads out of those by sticking a needle in a candle flame and it didn't work and made a mess. well just last week I found a few stray ones of those gems and look what I made

I just remembered and went and found a handbag I made as a teen in approx 1998 out of a kids toy handbag, a roll of sequin dot stickers, and nail varnish. it was inspired by the iconic alien spy femme fatale in Mars Attacks. and it's still full of the same stuff I put in it - treasure! I love kid me

as a bribe I've been interspersing editing bio writing etc with making myself a load of silly nonsense jewellery out of about a century's worth of trinkets and broken bits and bobs I had stashed away in drawers. did you know you can just drill holes in things and attach them to your body?!

my local community art centre has a trinket swap box outside now and I'm basically going to constantly be there. just took these bad boys there to drop off so if you're in Levenshulme and fancy any of these delights get your skates on to the Old Library side fence area
