This needs to stop. Less weapons, less emphasis on weapons and militarization. Make cops be part of their community again. Ending the "Thin Blue Line" shit would be a start. If you have to fucking fire people for racial bias, religious extremism and weird shit, do it. Cops often have all three.

But by 2011-2012 if a polity HAD an agency with adequate funding, good pay/benefits, more equipment than it needed, slickly-produced graphics, or an excess of ANYTHING it usually *WAS* the cops, to the detriment of other, more necessary, things. And they were trained to see US as The Terrorists.

All this BS was observable at the time, I say that as somebody who WAS a Republican but not *That* kind of Republican. When you act/react out of fear, bad actors will *Always* find a way to use it. Most cops were still kind of a joke even in 2005-2006. Their standards/vetting still are often bad.

One of the reasons for this is that the rhetorical figure of the trans child is never transfeminine. The trans girl is not a figure in the conservative lexicon because the transfeminine is a grotesquerie positioned always as a sexual threat to "real girls", and thus always adultified.

It is the latest development in a story ignited by a comment made by Indiana Fever player Sophie Cunningham, who said she wanted to protect young girls "who shouldn't have to go against biological men" in sport.
