I have this thing where I "record" photo sessions on Petri dishes, just for funsies. And I know there's no meaning nor real value to these... but on the left we were talking about hope and on the right I was talking to someone who's grieving and sometimes the microfluffsters just... get it.

To be honest I haven't been able to tell for a while, especially for types of photography where heavy post production or piecing together different images is the norm (jewelry and car campaigns have been often 3D renderings or hybrid for years now)

A year and a half is not a very long time. One of the main things this project is teaching me is how much of knowledge is filtered through a body and depends on being in a physical space. This is something no LLM can understand nor simulate credibly enough. You talk with people who "get it" and it's an instant recognition
