Jesus Christ: after a recent ruling by the Eighth Circuit that allowed Act 372 to take effect, an Arkansas county has banned all children from checking out any books in the adult section, bringing home any DVDs, or using the self-checkout kiosk in its public libraries.
More recently in Craighead County — symbolically, at least, Ground Zero for the state’s attack on libraries, thanks to Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Jonesboro) — the library announced several changes to circulation as it relates to minors. In a Facebook post, the library listed a number of changes to library policies, including:

Minors are prohibited from using the self-checkout kiosks;
Children under 13 years old may only check out materials from the designated children’s collection, while minors age 13-17 can only check out from the children or teen sections;
Minors may not check out DVDs at all; and
Minors are prohibited from entering or purchasing anything from the Friends of the Library Bookstore.

it's funny that critics of the film called the twelve-year thing a gimmick, because if you watch it again now—it's the whole point. the grief and tenderness that comes with watching so much life pass literally before our eyes still hits. the smallness of those lives is what makes it meaningful

BOYHOOD is a masterpiece, a quiet magic trick that breaks my heart every time I watch it. I showed it to both of my sons on their 18th birthdays, and those experiences were so emotionally powerful. Linklater is truly our best director about time and how it changes us.

Jun 16th 1994 - Jesse and Celine met on a train heading to Vienna. 📽️📅 Before Sunrise (1995)
4 Screenshots from the movie "Before Sunrise" (1995): First, a young man with short brown hair and a maroon sweater sits by a train window, smiling and relaxed, with green countryside passing by outside. Second, a young woman with long wavy blonde hair, wearing a short-sleeved top and holding a book, looks toward the man as they sit across from each other on the train. Third, the man and woman stand facing each other on a train platform next to a red and black train, speaking seriously as he gestures with his hands; the subtitle reads: "Um... Last night. Six months from last night, which was, uh, uh, June". Fourth, the conversation continues with the man gesturing as the woman listens intently; the subtitle reads: "16th. So uh, Track Nine, six months from now, at six o'clock at night."
