Thinking about SLA Industries again as I do about twice a year (in this case because @evlynmoreau.bsky.social mentioned it) and in particular thinking about these two from the 1st edition Karma sourcebook/fake lifestyle magazine. Who are they & what's their story?

two young people in the SLA industries universe. they look like they're hanging out at a mall. the person on the right is an Ebon and the one on the right has the sharp teeth of a Wraithen

My kind of tourist trap! Visited the Museum of Alchemists and Magicians of Old Prague (I attended the puppet theatre production of Faust in its courtyard the other night). Reputedly Edward Kelley's residence where he conducted mad alchemical experiments for the emperor in the late 16th century...

I am imagining George C. Scott as Patton sitting in a jeep and rhapsodizing to his driver about getting railed by his shieldmate/erastes in the past life when he was in the Sacred Band of Thebes.

Ballpoint pen, colored pencil, copic marker, and pencil.

Movie night. Our man is at home with his pet bird watching Batman Returns (1992). It’s the scene where Catwoman visits the Penguin’s raggedy office to plan Batman’s downfall. As a way to gain the upper hand during the meeting, she circles Penguin’s birdcage and puts the bird in her mouth. Our man is concerned that this will be an upsetting scene for his bird to watch. “Close your eyes for this scene,” he says. He’s watching the film in a beanbag chair. His bird has a small perch for the screening.

Monument Valley seems bigger than life in person. I wanted this painting to capture the wide expanse of the desert sky and the feeling of being completely immersed in the landscape. I used thick brushstrokes of oil paint laid side-by-side without overlapping to capture the movement and majesty of the scene.

Head-prepping for Mörk Borg tonight and the fact that the players are having a team of undead workmen blindy tunneling out a back entrance to their hideout means I can have it surface wherever I want. The way I run MB is apparently "evil Chuck Jones Bugs Bunny cartoon."

yeah, and like this isn't unusual with monster of the week setups, but the speed with which they introduce a concept, do something crazy with it, and then set it back on the shelf never to acknowledge or refer to it again is breathtaking.
