I use it on the bus a lot, which is a little bit both indoors/outdoors! I don't think I've ever used headphones, and I think being able to either have short play sessions or the ability to jump in and out without much trouble is important.

I mean Dread was *okay*, but it felt like a list of nuisances you're asked to overcome. Planting the Chainstaff in the ground and using the other end as a moving platform is a great feeling, btw. You could almost make a minigame or goofy arcade spinoff based on that mechanic alone!

...and this seems to never have been patched for Switch 2, so loading screens are 'get up and get a drink' kinda things when they're at their worst, a 'time to refresh the page w/ the mail i'm tracking' thing at best. Oddly enough, the whole game feels a lot like Axiom Verge! 😅

...it does suffer from the same issue that plagued Alien Isolation, though (although not as aggressively): I'd be perfectly happy just exploring but you keep getting interrupted by these idiots hunting you... and then there's a QTE... and if you fuck that up, a loading screen.
