I'm on the 2026-27 faculty job market! My lab will study how prefrontal circuits build and coordinate the brain-wide networks behind lasting memories, and how psychedelics & related compounds reshape those networks and behavior. Interested? Get in touch: brainofzedzed.github.io

How does the brain build a memory? A common assumption is that the neurons activated during an experience collectively form the memory engram. In our new Nature Neuroscience paper (finally out!), we show that this is not the case. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Deconstruction of a memory engram reveals distinct ensembles recruited at learning - Nature Neuroscience
Pouget et al. identified distinct CA1 neuron ensembles active during specific moments of fear learning and uncovered the core engram essential for memory formation.

#resourceshelp Please repost 🙏🏽 I am looking for a list of (recommended) online courses in #computational #neuroscience that offer a #certification. Ideally, the focus of those courses would be systems and networks rather than single-cell modeling. (I know of the 2 courses offered by Neuromatch)
