I’d set an hour on the timer and make it a game to see how much work I could fit into that hour, then I can go and do fun stuff for a bit, and rinse and repeat until the assignments are finished.

A physical planner to instantly write in the assignments. Keeping them all in one place worked best. A 5 subject notebook to keep papers together, if the folder were too small, I got another folder to keep in my backpack. A visual timer to better visualize the time passing.

Guitar progress update: I watched Roland Orzabal of Tears for Fears do an interview where he said he learned guitar from Bert Weedon’s Play In A Day. So….I bought it. But until it gets here, I practicing from Hal Leonard’s Guitar Method Book 1!

I am so heartbroken. I got to know Elisa two years ago when she came to me with hundreds of emails of anti-trans legislators scheming around restricting trans rights. I helped get her story told by the New York Times and Washington Post. She deserved so much better. RIP.
