Yeah, that’s what I’ve noticed. Like, you can go to Ashley or Living Spaces and it’s the same quality/prices as IKEA, but usually the style is meh (we have found some nice pieces at Living Spaces)

we've been (very slowly) furnishing our house, after going up in sqft, and i think the issue is this: there's ikea and then there's prohibitively expensive. there's not really anything in-between (mostly logistically, and stylistically)
