Some personal advice for Nigel Farage: There’s no humiliation in standing next to @countbinface.bsky.social. In fact, you haven’t made in British politics until you do. #byelections #Uxbridge

As the locus of British blackness shifts from the Caribbean to Africa, the formations and politics of racialisation, racism and anti-racism are changing. Football at the forefront of this.

One of the saddest things about the Infantino-Trump red card controversy is what it does to Folarin Balogun's story. He chose to represent the USA over England and Nigeria. A choice that seemed to embody football at its best: expanding our sense of belonging rather than narrowing it.

Orbán's loss is more than just a massive hit to the radical right in Britain, namely Farage and Matt Goodwin. It's not just Reform. Orbán has found allies in mainstream Conservative forces since 2010. 1/8

The Liberal Democrats need a national story that goes beyond local issues. It starts with how we pick our parliamentary candidates. blaisebaquiche.substack.com/p/local-cham...

‘Local champions’ have had their day, Liberal Democrats now need a national message.
The F10 constitutional changes could be our ‘Clause IV’ moment.

Is it time for the @libdems.org.uk to have a more nuanced stance on Europe given its rightward shift? Outside of being a party of 72 'local champions', perhaps it needs policy ideas that yes, annoy people who aren't just dry Tories.

Yes the IHT changes damage farming, but let's not forget it was also: - chaos with replacing BPS payments after Brexit, - confusion over new agri-environment schemes, - climate change with over a storm a month, for the past 18 months - and last but not least, supermarkets ripping off farmers!
